PRACE, in collaboration with FocusCoE and CASTIEL, will host an online workshop at 2-5pm CET, 15 Jan 2021 aimed at HPC training providers, particularly those who are involved in delivering courses with at least some live or synchronous component including the management of live practical sessions. The pivot to delivering these types of courses entirely online has posed considerable challenges for many, and this workshop aims to provide a platform to share experiences and best practices, and to discuss any ongoing issues.
The workshop consists firstly of several 15-20 mins sessions from selected individual training providers to present their experiences with time allocated for some discussion. This will be complemented by a final session (approx. 50 mins) for open discussions where participants may contribute further ideas or raise issues for discussion. Please find below the timetable.

This event is open to any HPC training provider who has an interest in the topic. Please note that the scope of the workshop is on live, i.e. synchronous, events with hands-on supervision of practical sessions that are typical for HPC courses. Other online training topics such as MOOCs, developing self-learning materials are not within the scope of this workshop as there is only limited time.
