The organizing committee is monitoring the world-wide covid situation closely. We are currently planning for an in-person seasonal school, possibly switching to a hybrid in-person/virtual or fully virtual format - if the situation in October 2021 requires so.
The number of applications is quickly approaching the theoretical maximum capacity of this Autumn School (still subject to the volatile CoV situation); please expect a system-notification that the maximum capacity has been reached and your application is put on the waiting-list. We will continuously evaluate the situation and keep you updated accordingly.
Registration includes a "first come-first served" principle, assuming participants will attend in person. The highly volatile covid situation might result in dynamic adjustments to registrations. Please expect regular updates on your application status via e-mail. Thank you for your patience.
Please note that the programming language mainly used will be C&C++ with Hands-On on Unix/Linux systems. We kindly ask participants to refresh their knowledge in:
(1) C&C++ (especially: pointers, memory allocation, representation of two-dimensional arrays)
(2) basic linux/unix terminal usage and
(3) handling a terminal based text editor (nano, vim, emacs).
