 e basic concepts\, and practical examples\, and hands-on exercises related
  to Data Management activities for researchers and research support staff.
  The objectives of the course are:\n\n\n	Familiarize participants with Dat
 a Management fundamentals and best practices for researchers and research 
 support staff.\n	Identify the role and responsibilities of Data Managers i
 n research activities.\n	Illustrate the practical application of FAIR prin
 ciples for managing research data.\n	Discuss the European context for Data
  Management\, including Data Management Plans for HE.\n	Introduce the conc
 epts and practices of Open Science and Open Data.\n	Prepare participants t
 o design and deliver introductory training on RDM topics.\n	Facilitate han
 ds-on exercises to: a) Compare and contrast various DMP tools and template
 s available to researchers b) Develop a Data Management Plan for a researc
 h project c) Assess the quality and effectiveness of a Data Management Pla
 n.\n\n\nLearning Outcomes: Upon completing this course\, participants wil
 l be able to effectively plan and manage research data for a project by de
 veloping a comprehensive Data Management Plan (DMP) in accordance with bes
 t practices and guidelines. Specifically\, participants will have gained a
  solid understanding of Data Management fundamentals\, the role and respon
 sibilities of Data Managers\, the practical application of FAIR principles
 \, the European and national context for Data Management\, and the practic
 al skills necessary to prepare\, evaluate\, and compare DMP tools and temp
 lates. In addition\, participants will understand the principles of Open S
 cience and Open Data\, and be equipped to design and deliver introductory 
 training sessions on Research Data Management.\n\nPrerequisites:\n\nSome e
 xperience working with research data\, or with researchers dealing with da
